About

My journey into photography and filmmaking began at 13, when I was gifted a camera by a Vietnam combat photographer and mentor. I then pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (photography) from the University of Pennsylvania followed by a Master’s in Fine Arts from Hunter College and a Lietz / Riedel Fellowship at the Universität der Künste Berlin in Germany. I interned with Magnum photographer Steve McCurry and have assisted and learned from a spectrum of celebrated cinematographers, including Spike Jonze, Ellen Kuras, Emmanuel Lubezki, Ross McDonald, etc..

I’ve been fortunate to have worked globally, including China, Russia, Greenland, Kosovo, Vietnam, Tanzania, Moldova, Mongolia, Peru, Bolivia, to name a few. These projects often led me to areas characterized by poverty and conflict, but also places of incredible natural beauty and the deepest humanity.

I prioritize my time for projects with a humanitarian focus. I’m happy to discuss any projects that address the inequalities, the struggles, the victories and the celebrations that make up the human condition.
